We are born into this world
With expectations towards those we were surrounded by at birth
Depending, wanting, taking, demanding
But in truth,
we are alone
As we grow, we slowly realize that Mom and Dad will always love us,
but we have to let go of their hands
and walk the path of life with our own strength that our loved ones lent us
through our early days
It is critical that we come to the realization
that we must be alone to survive
Or else we become selfish beings, always needing something from someone
If we recognize that being alone does not equal being lonely
If we can grasp the fact that being alone does not mean lending hands are not reaching out to you
and that love will always surround you no matter where you go and what path you take
You are truly present, very much alive, and I’m sure
that life will lead you towards an astoundingly beautiful existence
